THB hotels consolidates its commitment to the environment through the implementation of internationally recognised certifications across all its properties.
Following years of sustained efforts in the field of sustainability, the hotels in our group now hold a range of environmental certifications that attest to effective resource management, reduced environmental impact and continuous improvements to their processes.
In particular, the ISO 14001 certification stands out as an internationally recognised standard that not only reflects a rigorous and effective environmental approach, but also highlights the company’s ability to identify risks, optimise resource use and manage waste efficiently, embedding sustainability at the heart of its business strategy.
In addition, all THB hotels properties have been awarded the Ecostars seal, a leading international certification that measures environmental impact through a system of ‘green stars’. Several of our hotels have achieved the Gold rating — the highest distinction available — recognising excellence in energy efficiency and responsible resource management.
Another core element is the calculation and registration of the Carbon Footprint across all our hotels, a vital tool for measuring and reducing CO₂ emissions. This process is further reinforced by the greenhouse gas inventory verification seal, which brings an added level of technical rigour and transparency to our measurements.
This initiative is complemented by the implementation of a Circularity Plan individually tailored to each of our hotels. Each plan is based on a prior assessment of the specific circumstances of every property, allowing for the application of targeted, bespoke measures that optimise resource use and promote recycling in line with the reality of each property.
As a result of these sustained efforts, four hotels in the group have already achieved carbon neutrality: the THB Gran Playa, THB Felip, THB Bamboo Alcudia and the THB Ocean Beach. This milestone clearly reflects THB hotels’ firm commitment to a more responsible and environmentally respectful tourism model.
