THB hotels steps up its commitment to local sport for 2026
THB hotels is continuing to build on its commitment to sport as a core element in its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy. Throughout 2026, the hotel chain will be expanding its network of sports sponsorships, supporting both well-established clubs and emerging initiatives across the Balearic Islands.
At a professional level, THB hotels continues to support well-known teams such as Palma Futsal, one of the top names in Spanish futsal, as well as Palmer Basket and Azul Marino Baloncesto, supporting the advancement of basketball on the island.
The hotel chain is also focusing on grassroots and regional sport, working with organisations such as the Murense Sports Club, Montuïri Athletics Club and Voltor Swimming Club, promoting values that include effort, teamwork and healthy living from an early age. In addition, THB hotels is further strengthening its presence in Lanzarote through the THB Royal, a new key sponsor for the Ajaches Handball Tournament – an event at the forefront of grassroots sport in the Canary Islands.
THB hotels is also stepping up its institutional engagement through its support for the Balearic Islands’ Football Federation (FFIB), contributing to the development and promotion of football across the archipelago.
As for sporting events, the company also sponsors key initiatives on the local sports calendar, such as the Can Simó Padel Tournament and Volcan Run Training, encouraging active lifestyle habits among both residents and visitors.
As part of its commitment to experiential and family-oriented sport, THB hotels also supports the football camp run in partnership with The Game Elite Academy, a top London-based academy. Designed for boys and girls aged between 5 and 15, the programme combines professional training with holiday fun.
