As part of the Boxing Day campaign held last December on thbhotels.com, we allocated 5% of the proceeds to the Tursiops Association, an organisation dedicated to the study, research and conservation of cetaceans in the Balearic Islands.
This year, the initiative made it possible to donate €1,929.15 – a contribution that will support the development of the scientific and marine protection projects carried out by the association in the Mediterranean.
Since 1998, the Tursiops Association has been working on the research and monitoring of species such as the bottlenose dolphin and the sperm whale, analysing their populations, habitats and threats. Its work is essential to understanding the conservation status of these animals and promoting measures that help safeguard the marine ecosystem, particularly in the face of challenges such as noise pollution, maritime activity and human impact.
Through this type of collaboration, at THB Hotels we seek not only to support environmental initiatives but also to raise awareness and foster environmental responsibility, integrating sustainability into our daily operations and into our guests’ experience.
We firmly believe that small actions, sustained over time, can generate meaningful change. For this reason, we will continue to promote initiatives aligned with our ECO Friendly project, encouraging a more responsible, conscious and environmentally respectful model of tourism.
