OUR CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

For us at THB hotels, Corporate Social Responsibility represents a major commitment to society and the environment, requiring a responsible and ethical management model that extends to all our business activities and relations with the company’s external and internal customers. Our goal is none other than to contribute to building a fairer and more equal society that shares a strong awareness of the need to protect and care for the environment.

For many years now, THB hotels has been collaborating actively on a number of social and environmental projects, working closely with not-for-profit associations, hospitals, NGOs and sports teams, etc., that contribute to the sustainable and human development of our properties.

In our drive to help society and the environment, we are helped by collaborators, suppliers, customers and THB employees who allow us to guarantee the success of all the projects we are involved in.

SUPPORT FOR LOCAL COMMUNITIES

Fully aligned with the brand’s values, at THB hotels we care for our destinations, contributing to their sustainable development.

To achieve this, we select local suppliers of goods and services, and also prioritise the purchase of locally sourced produce. We also promote the destination among our customers, providing them with information about places of interest, local restaurants, markets or craft centres, in order to encourage them to explore and discover our country’s culture and traditions.

COLLABORATION WITH SOCIAL ENTITIES

We work closely with third sector organisations. Understanding their needs enables us to create our corporate social responsibility strategy. We seek to forge solid and long-lasting relations based on synergies, in order to boost the effectiveness of our actions and consolidate participants’ trust through a range of initiatives.

This collaboration with third sector entities enables us to address specific social needs, complementing public services and encouraging citizen participation. What’s more, we strengthen values such as solidarity and empathy in society, whilst also offering citizens the opportunity to make a real difference and improvements to their community.

CULTURE AND SPORT

We are deeply committed to backing culture and sport.

In this sense, we support local sports clubs in order to promote physical activity, a healthy lifestyle and the values associated with sports.

At THB hotels, we are aware that sport has the power to teach values such as fair play, teamwork, equality, discipline, inclusion, perseverance and respect, all essential for a responsible society.

Moreover, we are actively involved in cultural sponsorship in order to contribute to the development of initiatives that will enrich this sphere. Local culture is a priceless treasure in our environment, deserving of our recognition and appreciation. It is an essential part of our identity and plays a vital role in conserving our cultural legacy. By promoting and disseminating the culture of our destinations, THB hotels is driving the social, economic and cultural progress of our communities.

THB HOTELS WORKING FOR SOCIAL AND LABOUR INCLUSION WITH PUPILS FROM THE APROSCOM FOUNDATION

THB hotels is working with the Aproscom Foundation as part of our commitment to Training and Corporate Social Responsibility, and in order to guarantee the preparation and inclusion of people with differing support needs in real workplace situations. Through this agreement, the pupils on the Catering Assistants Course can carry out their work placements at the chain’s hotels.
