For some time now, we have been playing host to our wonderful health workers who are staying at the THB Mirador hotel on Palma’s sea promenade during the State of Alarm.
The hotel has provided them with a safe haven due to the risks involved in returning home and infecting the most vulnerable members of their families. We invited several members of the media to the hotel to give a voice to the stories behind each room and meet the people staying in them for the duration of the pandemic.
Something they all agreed on was the fact that “being apart from our loved ones is really tough”. They gave us an insight into the difficulties they face each day, how they keep in touch with their families via video calls and how thankful they are to be able to spend their quarantine at the hotel.
They only asked one thing of us: to take care, to continue following the safety measures so that all this will come to an end and they can return home as soon as possible. So let’s act responsibly: for you, for them and for us all.
