At THB hotels, we will continue to strengthen our ties with sport in 2024 with the sponsorship of top clubs and sporting events. Highlights include our collaboration with Spartan Race Mallorca, Palma Futsal or 3 Días Trail Ibiza.
We consider sports as an essential part of our strategy and a tool for building a sense of community among both our guests and the local residents in the destinations we operate in. Read on to find out more about all the sponsorships that are currently underway or in the pipeline for 2024:Spartan RaceOn 16th and 17th March, Mallorca hosted the Spartan Race, which coincided with the start of the season at several of our hotels on the island. Participants and spectators alike get caught up in the dynamic atmosphere of this unique event which consists of a series of obstacle races, designed to challenge the participants’ endurance, strength and determination. The first event of this type took place on the island in 2015, and in 2019, we decided to join forces. Six shared editions later, this event has emerged as a major milestone on the local sporting calendar.THB hotels Paddle Tennis Ranking (Rafa Nadal Academy)We are also present in paddle tennis, a sport that is becoming increasingly popular among society. We collaborate with the Rafa Nadal Club, the Rafa Nadal Academy fitness centre, by sponsoring the THB hotels Paddle Tennis Ranking.Palma FutsalSince the 2016-2017 season, THB hotels has sponsored the prestigious Palma Futsal club. This futsal team has consolidated its reputation as one of the top clubs, and is highly respected not just on Mallorca, but throughout Europe. Palma Futsal is the current European Futsal Champion, an achievement that is even more significant considering that the final was held in Palma, a city that is part of our identity. THB hotels is incredibly proud of the team’s success, as it reflects the values of excellence and perseverance we share with the club.EnduranceEndurance is an athletics, trail and triathlon club specialised in endurance events. Our alliance with Endurance goes beyond sports practice, as we have a number of values in common, such as hard work and perseverance.Palmer BasketThe Palmer Basket basketball club was founded back in 2022. The club has earned a reputation as a pioneer in innovation and the creator of initiatives that drive community involvement, creating major synergies on the island from the town of Llucmajor. THB hotels is always ready to support ideas like this in our destinations.Azul Marino BasketBased on Mallorca, one of THB hotels’ principal destinations, our joint alliance provides the women’s team with major support. In addition to showcasing our brand, this partnership reflects THB hotels’ commitment to sport on the island and actively supporting female sporting talent. Together, we set an example of how local sports and business sponsorship can come together to enrich Mallorca’s sporting community and society.Vuelta Ciclista LanzaroteOur sponsorship programme wouldn’t be complete without cycling – one of the most popular sports in our destinations, especially on Mallorca and Lanzarote. This non-competitive long-distance cycling event takes in all the municipalities on the island of Lanzarote, attracting cycling fans and competitors alike. This year it will take place on 28th and 29th September.3 días Trail IbizaThe 3 days Trail Ibiza - Ultra Ibiza is a trail running race composed of three stages on the island of Ibiza, another key destination for THB hotels. The participants not only have the opportunity to enjoy the actual competition, but also to admire the island’s stunning natural beauty, travelling around the various areas and discovering its delights. This partnership reflects THB hotels' commitment to sport and sustainable tourism on Ibiza. Together, we create a unique experience that combines a passion for sport with the chance to explore one of the Mediterranean’s most captivating destinations.
