THB hotels strengthens its commitment to quality and the environment with new certifications

At THB hotels, excellence in hotel management is not just a goal but an ongoing commitment. Every process, service and decision is designed to ensure high standards of quality, customer care and environmental responsibility. Our quality and environmental certifications are a key tool for demonstrating that we meet internationally recognised standards and have effective mechanisms in place for continuous improvement.

These certifications are issued by SGS, one of the world’s leading certification bodies, accredited by ENAC – the Spanish national accreditation body responsible for authorising and overseeing certifying organisations. This provides us with a dual guarantee of quality, as ENAC ensures that certifying bodies meet the strictest requirements before they can issue ISO certifications, guaranteeing the reliability and transparency of the entire process.

 

Environmental commitment

In line with our sustainability strategy, many of our hotels are ISO 14001 certified – a standard that confirms proper environmental management. These include: THB Gran Playa, THB Gran Bahía, THB Guya Playa, THB Cala Lliteras, THB Dos Playas, THB Sa Coma Platja, THB Felip, THB El Cid, THB María Isabel, THB Niagara, THB Bamboo Alcudia, THB Los Molinos, THB Ocean Beach, THB Naeco Ibiza, THB Flora, THB Royal, THB Tropical Island, THB Lanzarote Beach and THB San Fermín.

In addition, all our hotels measure their carbon footprint, hold the Ecostars certification and apply a Circularity Plan, further reinforcing our commitment to reducing emissions and using resources efficiently. Thanks to this approach, four of our hotels have already achieved carbon neutrality – a milestone that proves sustainability is part of our everyday operations, not just a distant aspiration. Our commitment continues to grow: we are currently expanding this achievement to more properties, further reinforcing our strategy of continuous environmental improvement.

All these actions enable us to implement concrete measures to reduce our environmental impact and strengthen our efficiency and responsibility practices. Each certification enhances our ability to apply environmental measures systematically, going beyond regulatory requirements to ensure a positive and measurable impact on the environment.

Audits, training and continuous improvement

Maintaining these certifications requires ongoing commitment. Every year, all our hotels undergo both internal and external audits, carried out by independent organisations such as SGS. Before the external audit, we carry out internal checks to ensure that the correct procedures are implemented consistently and validated during the internal audit process. Staff training and continuous improvement are essential. It is not simply about preparing the hotel for audits, but about proving that standards are met every day, with verifiable evidence available at any time of the year. This level of rigour ensures that our processes are applied consistently and sustainably.
