THANK YOU 2021 AND WELCOME TO OUR NEW DESTINATION: THE COSTA DEL SOL

2021 started in a state of uncertainty due to the global evolution of COVID-19. Regardless of the possible variations in the evolution of the pandemic that could have altered our plans, our intention was clear: after introducing all the corresponding and necessary safety measures into our properties, we were determined to offer safe holiday experiences at all our hotels on Mallorca, Ibiza or Lanzarote. And that’s exactly what we did, with June seeing the start of the gradual reopening of our hotels.  

It’s been a shorter season than usual, but we made it till the end, complying fully with our high standards of satisfaction and quality, ensuring that our customers were able to enjoy the rest and relaxation they look for when holidaying in Spain. 

Here are just a few of our highlights from 2021:  

IMPROVEMENTS TO THB hotels EXPERIENCES:

- We achieved 4-star status for our THB Royal Hotel on Lanzarote. In June, the THB Royal Hotel added a fourth star to its rating, thanks mainly to the refurbishment of the facilities and the inclusion of more services designed to improve the guest experience. We are proud to be shining brighter than ever with our extra star. 

- The four-star THB Cala Lliteras Cala Ratjada launched its new Miniclub, guaranteeing all the fun and laughter our younger guests could wish for.  

- The Floral Room at our hotel in Ibiza Town, the four-star THB Los Molinos, boasts stunning views of the hotel gardens and sea. Divisible into 5 separate rooms, its 191 m2 make it the ideal venue for your meetings, conferences and events.  

- We launched new personalised golfing packages to mark the start of our venture into the world of Hotel + Golf experiences. Our unique agreements with the various golf courses in our destinations enable us to offer you the best Tee Times, tailored to suit your preferences. ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENTS:

Commitments that are developed under the  ECO friendly brand. Our goal is to care for our environment whilst guaranteeing top quality experiences for guests that choose to spend their holidays at a THB hotel.   

- We joined the European International Coastal Cleanup project, removing litter and waste from the Na Patana Beach in Can Picafort, Mallorca. In collaboration with the local council and other partners, we organised the litter collection process in accordance with the collecting, sorting and registration methodology included in this European project spearheaded by Ocean Conservancy, working to involve society in general involved in this initiative.  More info here.

- We renewed the certification of our ISO 900 quality management and 14001 environmental management systems in our hotels.  Full details available here.

- We supported projects run by the Tursiops association, centred on the defence and protection of the marine environment. We have organised a Boxing Day 2021 campaign, where 5% of the bookings made during this period will be donated to this association.  

SOCIAL ACTIONS:

Here at THB hotels, we are eager to care for the people, culture and society around us. Below you will find details of just a few of the actions we have carried out:  

- We worked with the APROSCOM FUNDACIÓ to promote social and labour inclusion. The goal is to train and include people who need varying types of support in a real work environment. More info here.

- We joined the  “EMPRESAS QUE AYUDAN” (COMPANIES THAT HELP) programme, run by the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE in its Spanish initials), whose aim is to coordinate corporate solidarity actions that will contribute to tackling the COVID-19 emergency. Our involvement focused on two key actions: donations to meal centres and donations of materials to the Aldeas Infantiles children’s charity (food, clothing, toiletries and cleaning items, toys, etc.).  

- We collaborated with local sports events to encourage people to practise sports such as the 2021 Mallorca Spartan or Lanzarote’s Race Music Night, etc.   

- We supported local cultural and film events, including Ibiza’s Gegant d’es Vedrà and the Voyeur Mallorca Jazz Festival, etc.  

- We donated textiles, such as blankets, to the Lanzarote Red Cross.  

MORE TRAINING WITH THB College:

This project, which is based on the values of education, respect and a vision of the future, is enjoying steady and constant growth.   

Two programmes are currently underway within the framework of this project. The first is the Dual Training programme, designed to promote training, employability and career opportunities for young people. The second, the Talents programme, delivers training that will guarantee the professions development and growth of all those THB hotels associates wishing to build up a career with us.

We have added a further destination and extended the THB hotels experiences in Spain.
