Our resolutions for 2022

The New Year always brings a list of resolutions for the goals we want to achieve over the next 12 months. 

So here are our resolutions for 2022: 

Resolution No. 1: to improve our facilities. 

The opening of all our hotels, offering the very finest facilities and top quality services we are renowned for. In 2020, for the first time ever, we were forced to close our hotels and some of them didn’t even open. In 2021, and despite the difficult situation, we were able to reopen all the THB hotels.  

For 2022, our intention is to continue improving the facilities at a number of our hotels:  

HOTELS ON MALLORCA

• At the THB Gran Playa, we have renewed all the services in the hall and added a disabled toilet. We have also partially renovated the ensuite bathrooms and replaced the fitted carpets in the room corridors with Bolon woven vinyl flooring, which is harder wearing than traditional carpeting, and adds a sense of warmth and comfort. We have also improved the kitchen facilities, changing the flooring and soundproofing this area.   

• The THB Gran Bahía will soon feature two new areas that are much in demand among our guests. They include a Bike Station with a garage, workshop and bicycle hire options and also a Surf Station offering equipment for hire, as well as lessons in Stand up paddle surf (SUP) or the new Wingsurf sport, as well as excursions along Mallorca’s northern coast.  

• In Cala Ratjada, work is now complete on waterproofing the sun terrace at the THB Guya Playa and most of the ensuite bathrooms have also been upgraded. 
  
  
• At the THB El Cid hotel in Playa de Palma, we have replaced the locks on the majority of the room doors for others that use NFC technology. Near-field communication is a short range, high frequency wireless technology that enables data to be shared between devices. This change will reduce our consumption of PVC key cards, as guests will be able to open their room doors with their mobile phones, simply by downloading the THB hotels app (link to the IOS and Android app).   

We have also changed the carpeting in the room corridors.  

• Also in Playa de Palma, at the THB María Isabel hotel we have made improvements to the outdoor pool terrace in order to keep our facilities in tiptop condition at all times.  

HOTELS ON IBIZA

• At the THB Los Molinos hotel in Ibiza Town, we are currently immersed in a series of improvements. Work is being carried out on the outdoor pool, the sun terrace and the Wellness Zone.  

• At the THB Ocean Beach hotel in San Antonio, we have soundproofed the rooms overlooking the O Beach Ibiza Club. 

HOTEL ON THE COSTA DEL SOL 

• The latest addition to the family, the THB San Fermín, will also soon be able to proudly show off the renovation work planned for 2022. The iron railings in the rooms are being replaced with glass; 126 of the 315 rooms are being renovated and work is underway on the installation of a brand new Fitness Zone.  

HOTELS ON LANZAROTE

• This year the THB Flora hotel (Puerto del Carmen) will be renovating the Disco which includes a bar service. It is also where the entertainment shows are performed.  

• In Playa Blanca, we are upgrading a number of facilities at the THB Tropical Island hotel. The Food Centre will soon be featuring international eateries, including Asian, Mexican and kebab restaurants, as well as a food truck.  

In addition to these upgrades to our facilities, we are also working to improve our services.  

Apart from providing quality spaces that meet our guests’ needs, THB hotels’ objective is to provide a complete stay accompanied by an unforgettable experience. To ensure this we have also focused our attention on improving our services.  

Resolution No. 2: to improve our gastronomy offer. 

As always, in 2022 we will continue to work on improving the gastronomy offer served at all our hotels. On the one hand, at those hotels with an à la carte restaurant, we will be changing a number of the dishes and improving those that will remain on the menu. What’s more, the hotels in all four destinations will be serving seasonal and fair trade food.  

Resolution No.3: to improve our guests’ experience.  

Another improvement, which we began working on in 2021, is to offer our guests the opportunity to include a golf experience in their booking. Indeed, we currently offer everyone booking with THB hotels the option of completing their holiday with a personalised golf package on the destinations’ finest courses.  

Resolution No. 4: to be more environmentally friendly. 

Naturally, 2022 will see the continuation of our ECO friendly project, in which we work hard to constantly reduce our impact on the planet. In this sense, we have withdrawn all single-use plastics from our hotels, swapping them for recycled or reusable materials. A few of our key actions in this area are listed below:  

• Single dose plastic amenities have been replaced with refillable dispensers.  
• The coasters are made from recycled paper.  
• The bracelets indicating guests’ accommodation type are made of fabric and PET plastic.  

Resolution No.5: to continue creating unique moments and experiences by your side. 

Our greatest objective of all is you: your satisfaction, your happiness, your laughter, those special times with your family, partner or friends, and your desire to return.
