The reopening of the THB Dos Playas hotel (Cala Ratjada, Mallorca) on 11th May marked the official kick-off of the 2025 season at THB hotels. All our properties on Mallorca, Ibiza, Lanzarote and the Costa del Sol are ready to offer our guests unique experiences, and this year, we’ve got a host of exciting new features!

- THB Gran Playa: there’s now a food truck serving á la carte snacks for outdoor fun and enjoyment.
- THB Gran Bahía: a brand-new gym for those who like to keep up with their fitness routine even when they’re on holiday.
- THB Cala Lliteras: now an adults-only hotel, the facilities include a beach volleyball court.
- THB Niágara: we’ve renewed the buffet and introduced a brunch-style breakfast concept.
- THB Ocean Beach: a new gym and massage room for an added dose of wellbeing.
- THB Lanzarote Beach: fully renovated double rooms with sea views for a more contemporary experience.
- THB Tropical Island and THB Ocean Beach: renovated swimming pools.

New in gastronomy
This season, more than ever, THB hotels is committed to delivering a carefully curated culinary offering, in line with our philosophy based on the use of locally sourced produce and care for the environment.
Across our hotels, improvements have been introduced in our buffets and restaurants in terms of both variety and quality, with more fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced options. Our cuisine aims not only to cater to all tastes, but also to reflect through flavours the tales and histories of our surroundings.
What’s more, and as a standout new feature, the THB Cala Lliteras, THB María Isabel and THB Gran Playa hotels now feature wine barrels at the dinner buffet — an initiative that not only adds a touch of distinction to the dining experience but also promotes responsible consumption and reduces the use of unnecessary packaging.
New in sustainability
Work is ongoing to continue improving every aspect of the guest experience, and we are also constantly introducing new ECO initiatives and actions that further drive our commitment to the environment and responsible tourism. Here are just a few of the new developments for this year:
- Real-time smart waste weighing: a new smart-scale system has been implemented to precisely monitor and analyse waste production in our hotels, enabling us to apply more effective corrective measures and reduce our impact.
- Green Care cleaning plan: the use of concentrated products diluted through controlled systems, significantly reducing plastic consumption and unnecessary packaging.
- Installation of photovoltaic solar panels: expanding the use of renewable energy to reduce our hotels’ carbon footprint.
- Emission offsetting: investment in the A Granda – A Fonsagrada reforestation project in Galicia, certified by Spain’s Ministry for Ecological Transition, to offset our carbon footprint.
- Certification of net-zero emission hotels: the THB Bamboo Alcudia, THB Felip and THB Gran Playa are now net-zero emission certified, after successfully completing the calculation, reduction, and emissions offsetting stages.
