As part of their Dual training programme, students at the THB College had the opportunity to visit the Blanca Terra winery on Mallorca and learn about the world of wine in the best way possible – first hand from the professionals working there. They were also treated to a guided tour of the winery facilities and an insight into the various processes involved in winemaking.
As part of their Dual training programme, students at the THB College had the opportunity to visit the Blanca Terra winery on Mallorca and learn about the world of wine in the best way possible – first hand from the professionals working there. They were also treated to a guided tour of the winery facilities and an insight into the various processes involved in winemaking.
The aim of THB College’s Dual training programme is to boost the preparation, employability and job opportunities for young people aged between 16 and 25, combining theory with practical experience in our hotels. This pioneering project is intended to create a talent bank of “employee – students”, prioritising the professionalization of our work teams, as well as focusing on the training and skills acquisition of our new joiners.
These types of specific and practical training actions, which also forge synergies with various companies, lie at the core of the Dual programme, as THB hotels’ head of Training and Quality, Ana Zorita, explained. “Our training itineraries are designed for groups of 15 young men and women that take part in the project, which covers the principal functions and competences they need to develop. Theory is always combined with practical training, as when it comes down to it, what we want is for them to progress to become future heads of department who are able to work in an industry they are truly passionate about”.
